A plan and resources for a KS1 Easter RE lesson on Easter Sunday, with a focus on new beginnings.
The 6 page PDF lesson plan includes details of a group starter, an introduction to the story, an outdoor activity, a simple written and art activity and a plenary. There are also differentiated targets, curriculum links and details about assessment for learning methods.
All activities are highly interactive and make the topic accessible to the children.

Each comprehension contains a short piece of text with words that can be sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures to help the children work out what they say.

KS1 Christmas RE Unit - 4 lessons
This is a 3 page pdf plan and a 15 slide PowerPoint presentation for an assembly on love, with a focus on part of a Bible quote. In this assembly, children are encouraged to think about how love should not keep a record of wrongs. The plan is easy to follow and requires no resources, so is perfect for using at the last minute! I like leading assemblies that are interactive, engaging and relevant to the children’s lives. So this assembly involves using a volunteer to pretend to be you while you tell an anecdote from your childhood. You can either borrow this from the plan or recall a real one from your own childhood. There is a lot of opportunity for all children to think about their own experiences of friendship and love and to feed back. There is also an example prayer/reflection to finish with.
This is a lesson plan and resources to teach children about Lent and why Christians perform good deeds during Lent. It is suitable for ages 7-11.
